With suicide being the 10th leading cause of death in the United States and taking the lives of more than 44,000 Americans every year the race is on to do all we can to support our community's mental health.
The Running Brave event began in Redding, CA, in 2016. The goal of the event is to bring the behavioral health community together around this important cause. The run/walk is an effort to raise awareness about suicide and mental health, promote wellness, and support suicide prevention efforts in your community. One hundred percent of the proceeds raised through the events go to supporting the local American Foundation for Suicide Prevention chapter.
Please join the Race to End Suicide by registering for your local event! Together, we will raise community awareness and end the stigma and discrimination surrounding mental illness.
Are you passionate about what we're doing? Let us know! We are always looking for volunteers to help us make our vision a reality by bringing Running Brave to your local community! We'll help you find a way to volunteer that best suits you. We're excited to have you join the team!
Whether you help through monetary donations, volunteering your time, or spreading our mission through word-of-mouth, thank you. We couldn't accomplish our goals without the help of supporters like you.
